Snow Day in Brighton

I had jury duty in Brighton and I was really worried about finding the courthouse because I had never been there before. So my wonderful suitemates took a trip out there with me to find it beforehand.

It was so strange to be in Brighton after coming from downtown Boston. It felt so much more like a real town, it almost felt like my home town, especially with the snow.

We ended up stopping at Jim’s Deli and Restaurant for lunch and it was incredible. It was a small family-style restaurant and the food was amazing. It’s funny how the little hole-in-the-wall places are usually the best.

Even after just a week of eating dining hall mystery meat this bacon cheese burger was amazing.

The burger was almost bigger than me! I felt a little bit like I was on Man v. Food.

It’s so nice to be back in Boston! As much as I loved being home, it reinforced how much I love living in a city. Coming back here feels like I’m coming back to where I belong.

Cropping Out the Competition

Not only have I tried the maxi skirt look recently but while I was home I also experimented with a cropped top. I wasn’t sure about this look because it seemed hard to pull off without looking sleazy. But this subtly cropped sweater has a cool and casual look to it.

In the midst of the winter slump I thought it would be nice to have some bright candy colors, and what better place to photograph them than with an old ice cream truck? I don’t experiment with colors very often so playing with them in this outfit was a lot of fun.

Pink With Promise

I loved the idea of photographing this dress in the apple orchard because of the great contrast between the dress and the trees. The dress is pink and frilly with an easy quality that makes me think of spring, meanwhile the trees are all dead and bare for the winter.

Today is my last day in New Hampshire! While it’s been nice to be home with my family and friends (and Coco!) I can’t wait to go back to my home and family in Boston. After all, I’m a city girl at heart.

Turns out looking too fashion forward in New Hampshire has some serious legal consequences.

Alright so maybe I wasn’t really arrested, but sometimes it feels like I could be! In just a few days I’ll be back in Boston, a much more fashion friendly place.
