Malan Breton F/W 2015

February 19, 2015,

Yesterday Malan Breton debuted his fall/winter collection and it was absolutely stunning. The collection was a blend of ‘70s androgyny, badass biker, and ladylike elegance with a touch of steam punk.

malanbretonf:w2015For women the line included many fantastic pant and skirt suits in traditional black, emerald velvet, and a bright, bubblegum pink. The models all rocked short black wigs and wide-leg pants added to the retro feel. Mixed in were dresses in very prim cuts that featured a contrasting floral/camo print in light pink and varied greens.

The looks ranged from tailored suits in black, white, magenta, and camo, to more casual ensembles featuring knee-high sneaker boots, leather vests, and in some cases, an underwear and button down combo reminiscent of a high-fashion Tom Cruise.

The look was showcased in a fittingly royal fashion with the model flanked by an entourage of men in striking red suits and jackets. In the course of the 20-minute show we saw daytime, eveningwear, wedding gowns, edgy looks, and an ensemble fit only for a queen. But Breton weaved the collection together so well that every look felt right at home on the runway.
