Ever since I bought this dress I’ve been in love with the stained-glass/religious kind of print. There’s something so unexpected about pairing a print like that with a leather crop top and a statement necklace. It’s very Alexander McQueen, and that’s always a good thing.
Although I don’t currently subscribe to a particular religion, I grew up Catholic and I’ve come to associate religious symbols with art and literary history. In my years of studying art I’ve learned more about religion than I ever did in Sunday School.
Now instead of associating iconography with long masses and countless motions to memorize, I think of it as an important component of a rich European cultural history.
