You can always tell when I haven’t planned my outfit in advance, or if I’ve been out late the night before. I have a tried-and-true system for comfortable outfits that are still functional and work appropriate. I pair leggings, oftentimes a thicker, trouser-inspired legging, with a long blouse and add my tied-up flats or some heeled booties. The result is put-together enough for the office, but easy enough to throw on with no thought when I roll out of bed.
In the fall I’d pair this look with a burgundy scarf and a chic jacket like this one for some extra polish. In the summer delicate details like the simple rings and necklace make it seem planned. Check out this post for the story behind my “Solo Goya” ring, which I made at the Stonybrook Fine Arts studio in JP.
