I know it’s a little cliche, but this year I went as Holly Golighty for Halloween. If it adds to my credibility I’ve read the book as well as seen the movie, but I mostly adore Breakfast at Tiffany’s for the same reason every fashionable girl does: Audrey. Who wouldn’t want to be the epitome of class and sophistication, even just for one night?
As another bonus, I already had everything I needed so I didn’t have to go out and buy a costume. Yes, I had long black gloves and a tiara. What’s a girl to do without them?
Admittedly, not my best Audrey smile. But no one can quite live up to her standards.
