As you’ve no doubt guessed from the name of this blog, I’m a huge nerd. Or a “scholar” if we want to be more politically correct. And I’m not talking about the cutesy kind of nerd with the big glasses and the bows in her hair. Not the kind of nerd who still reads real books instead of off a Kindle. Not the kind of nerd who gets straight As and calls it a day. I take my nerd status seriously.
I’m the kind of nerd that started college when I was fifteen because I didn’t feel “challenged.” The kind of nerd that has long phone conversations with her old professors debating the use of the oxford comma, the kind of nerd who cries while reading Anna Karenina just because the language is so beautiful.
In this outfit I tried to let a little bit of my nerdiness come through with a tweed blazer, high waisted jeans and button down. But I had to add a little sparkle with the Betsey Johnson heels. Because, come on, nerds can love sparkle too.
