So sorry for the absence in the last few days! I’ve been swamped moving into my new apartment and starting school. But Trends and Tolstoy is back and today we have something totally new: cooking.
My mom is a big cook but I’ve never been very good at it. So I decided to tackle a simple recipe: danishes. Who can argue with a breakfast pastry? I used this recipe and they came out wonderfully.
My first step was to make the inside filling. I used a store bought dough so I skipped that part.
Then I cut the dough into even squares and folded them into shapes. I found the star shape pictured above to be the most effective at holding the filling in.
Next I added the filling and put dabs of jam and pieces of fruit on top for that extra sweetness.
And that was it! As easy as a few simple steps. What are your favorite easy baking recipes?
Photos are mine.
