If I thought my Boston Fashion Week experience was charmed before, it’s nothing compared to how I felt last night at the Candice Wu Couture Fashion Installation featuring House of Cach. This event, held at the W Lounge in downtown Boston, exuded the kind of exclusive glamour that I associate with fashion week. At the door we were met with “the list” but the girl already knew who I was and ushered us right in (talk about VIP!).
The atmosphere inside was dripping with glamorous indifference, the kind of casual attitude to luxury that you only see in exclusive parties. Women in sky high heels clutched their Louis Vuitton’s and chatted at the bar with men in tailored suits and crisp Brooks Brothers shirts. Photographers caught the whole scene, knowing just who was worth photographing and who was a newbie.
Then there was the collection. A gorgeous collaboration between Candice Wu Couture and House of Cach jewelry, every look was stunning.
Candice herself was absolutely adorable, and glowing with excitement about her new line.
After the show I was approached by one of my followers for my business card, and given the traditional post-show gift bag. Tough life, right?
No doubt, Candice Wu has won my heart and I can’t wait to see what she produces for the spring runways.
