I bought this skirt a year ago and it’s been sitting in my closet ever since. There’s not much that can sartorially scare me (hello, leather catsuit) but this full length plastic skirt had me intimidated. It’s straight plastic. Not pleather, not plastic masquerading as anything else, plastic. I bought it because it was an interesting texture and I liked the juxtaposition between such a tacky fabric and a ladylike silhouette.
To capitalize on the textural element I paired the skirt with a knit sweater and a chunky scarf. They soften the hard edges of the skirt and make for a nice contrast.
I can’t get enough of this scarf lately. It’s so cozy and the emerald gives everything in my wardrobe an extra dose of class.
