In case the name didn’t tip you off, this fashion girl is a book nerd. I’m the one you see trudging around with a volume that’s bigger than her, or searching for a new translation in the store. The girl that owns three different copies of the same book because they all have different cover art and paper quality? That’s me. I couldn’t resist buying this shirt because so many people mistake my blog to be “Trends and Toy Story.” And while that is one of Pixar’s greatest works, it’s not the kind of narrative I’m into.
My favorite part of this is that most people glance at it and assume it’s a Toy Story shirt, only the people who look closer realize that we’re actually talking patriarchal names with 5+ syllables and a delightful combination of spirituality, political corruption, murder, and love.
I recommend this strategy for anyone looking to style a graphic tee, pair it with a jacket or blazer to add visual interest and bring in alternative textures to keep the look vibrant. Heels never hurt either, and a statement necklace can be a great way to hide an unflattering crew neck.
