Another season at New York Fashion Week has ended and I’m settling back into reality. It seems to get better every year and this was another great week of backstage coverage, intriguing art exhibits, beautiful collections, and champagne at all hours of the day. Here are a few shots from my time in the city.
This was my favorite look from the Nanette Lepore show at her studio. I love a good skirt suit and this black and white stripe is to die for. Since moving from Lincoln Center, NYFW is now held at the Skylight venues at Moynihan Station and Clarkson Square. It’s also rebranded after losing Mercedes as a sponsor. It’s now NYFW The Shows and Lexus is the new car sponsor. While in New York I like to stop at my favorite art museums in between shows. This shot is from the Picasso Sculpture exhibit at MoMA. It’s definitely worth checking out. I had no idea Picasso was so prolific in that medium. This was one of my looks from a day of backstage reporting. Black is the preferred color of fashion week but this matching set keeps things interesting, if neutral. I loved this all-red look. I might adopt this for fall, forget spring! Boots backstage at Alice and Olivia.Big thanks to Caravan Studio Stylists for giving me the perfect ’60s do.
Hanging with my favorite paintings at the Met.
That’s all for the fashion week coverage, I promise! Stay tuned for some fabulous fall outfits.
