Mad Men was every fashion girl’s sartorial dream, and along with many others it ignited in me a passion for beehives and cardigan sets. The retro style was one of the many appeals in watching the fantastic show. To pay homage to Matthew Weiner’s creation, I staged a photoshoot with my incredibly handsome cousin Bryce (yes, he’s single, ladies) and my talented photographer friend Rheanna. He plays the suave and ever-damaged Don Draper while I stand in for everyone’s favorite underdog Peggy Olson.
Peggy and I are very different. She struggles quite a bit in her professional and personal lives and, let’s be honest, her style isn’t always awesome. But we do share a fierce passion for our work and a refusal to be victimized. I find that Peggy and I are kindred spirits, cosmetics aside.
