A third of the way through December, and my holiday shopping is in full swing. Last week I stopped in at Macy’s to pick up a few gifts. In the age of hip boutiques, I still like shopping at department stores. Everything’s in one easy place and they’re almost always having sales and offering coupons. I also love how easy it is to pick up a treat for myself while I’m shopping for others. 
This time my treat was this lace, red party dress. I needed a special something for our office holiday party and this dress looks just the right amount of fabulous, especially with one of my vintage crinolines underneath. With coupons it was only $25. You can’t beat that even at Forever21.
We may no longer be in the Jordan Marsh heyday of department stores with cookies and live music to enrich the experience, but there’s definitely something to be said for one-stop holiday shopping.
