I travel a lot but I’m always happy to come home to Boston. Every year growing up my dad would take me on a special trip into the city. I always wore fabulous and impractical shoes and got blisters and we always toured a new area of what would one day be my home.
People always ask me if I want to move somewhere else, expecting a frequent traveler to want to live somewhere exotic. But despite my wanderlust, I can’t imagine leaving Boston for more than a month or two at a time. My paternal grandparents and my parents went to college and fell in love in this city. And now, it’s captured my heart too.
I celebrated my wonderful city in this MM.LaFleur trench dress. It’s buttery silk and perfectly ladylike, but also comfortable and features pockets. Perfect for running around my favorite streets. In the summer weather I’m wearing it with my new Panama hat and flats but in the fall I’ll style it with a leather jacket and boots.
