Nahita Cocktails & Cuisine

October 26, 2018,
by Celina[zilla_likes]

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending dinner at Nahita Cocktails & Cuisine on Arlington Street. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion spot serves up gourmet food and cocktails in a stunning old building. The interior looks like a lush jungle, with sky-high ceilings strung with plants and winking strings of lights.

The cuisine mashes up the best of both worlds. We were served sashimi alongside tacos and the above guacamole had king crab added to it. There’s a lot of overlap between Latin American and Asian flavors. A while back I toured Blossom Bar in Brookline for BrooklineHub (you can read the article here) and encountered a similar flavor profile.

Each of the many courses came with a cocktail (as you can imagine I almost had to be wheeled out of here). Above is pictured the “What’s Up Doc?” with singani, carrot, ginger, lime, and club soda. And the “Mad Beets” with gin, beet, fennel, kummel, lemon, and tonic. I loved the beet cocktail as I’m a fan of gin. The incorporation of vegetable flavors in the cocktails was an interesting twist.

This is our dessert platter featuring everything from tres leches and churros to apple cheesecake and matcha bon bons. Overall I had a wonderful experience at Nahita. I would absolutely go back for cocktails and bites at this lush, culinary paradise.

Please note: I was provided with a complimentary meal by Nahita, however, all opinions expressed are my own.
