Holiday at the Cape Codder Resort

December 5, 2018,
by Celina[zilla_likes]

Last weekend The Cape Codder Resort hosted me for an overnight with a few other bloggers. This family-friendly resort in Hyannis has year-round activities for visitors to Cape Cod. During December they run The Enchanted Village with Christmas decorations, lights all over the garden, and visits from Santa.

We started our trip with cocktails and dinner at the Grand Cru Wine Bar, a restaurant that serves up family style Italian and doubles as a jazz bar for night life. We sampled a beautiful cheese plate, a delectable braised lamb shank, and many other goodies.

The Cape Codder is known for their enormous indoor waterpark and wave pool that’ll keep the kids occupied for hours. They also have a spa offering services for weary moms, a fitness room, and an outdoor heated pool and hot tub. And wait, there’s more. This is a HUGE place. They also have an enormous arcade where my guest and I won a cute lion on the claw machine.

The next morning we wrapped things up with breakfast in the resort’s other restaurant, Hearth ‘n Kettle. I had some delicious cranberry oatmeal pancakes (gluten free!) and my friend had seafood eggs benedict. They also serve coffee in full on carafes so you don’t have to wait for the wait staff to refill your fuel.

It was great to see cold-weather getaway options in Cape Cod. The area is so seasonal it sometimes feels like a ghost town in the winter. It’s nice to see the Cape Codder Resort making winter travel accessible and fun, especially for families. The Enchanted Village came alive during our stay with carolers, live music, and tons of kids having the time of their lives.

Please note: I was provided with a complimentary overnight stay by Cape Codder Resort. All opinions expressed are my own.
