Cocktail Queen

January 25, 2019,
by Celina[zilla_likes]

In the winter I like to cozy up and make cocktails in my apartment. It’s a nice way to unwind before an event or during a night in. I have a few go-to recipes and I keep the ingredients on hand. These are also great options for entertaining.

The first recipe is the easiest. It’s called The Paloma. Here’s what you need: 2 oz. gin or vodka, slice of lime, and grapefruit soda. All you have to do is put two ounces of your preferred liquor in an ice-filled glass, squeeze a wedge of lime in and fill the rest up with grapefruit soda. It’s beyond easy. I use Polar soda which you can get at the grocery store for just a few dollars.

If you’re more into the natural vibe, then the next cocktail is for you.

What I like about this one is that you make it with ingredients you might already have in your kitchen. All you do is mash up 3 blackberries in the bottom of a glass with 5 leaves of fresh mint. Add 2 oz. gin or vodka, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of simple syrup. Top it off with ice and tonic water.

What are your favorite at-home cocktails?
