Beauty by Bioré

Please note: This post is sponsored by Bioré, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Trends and Tolstoy!

A crazy work schedule and frequent travel means I often suffer breakouts from both stress and poor skincare. I won’t lie, there have been many times in the last year where I’ve passed out in a hotel bed after a rigorous flight schedule without washing my face. I’ve partnered with Bioré to make those blemishes disappear, even when I’m negligent in my routine.

Bioré hooked me up with two products, Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Toner (available here) and Witch Hazel Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (available here). As a kid I used Witch Hazel to ease the itch of bug bites but I’d never considered it as a skincare ingredients.

Turns out Witch Hazel has properties that help tighten pores, clean, and heal damaged areas. Plus it’s a natural ingredient so you can feel good about using it on your largest and most visible organ: your skin! Bonus: Bioré products are dermatologist tested. It’s wonderful to have a natural, safe product that’s available at an accessible price point. You can find these products at your local Walmart.

I especially love traveling with the pore strips because they’re small and easily transportable and using them always makes me feel like I’m going the extra mile for my skin. Plus I can read, work, do phone interviews, or plan my schedule while they’re working. The toner is even easier to use, you just tab a little bit on areas affected by acne. I use it at night before bed and by morning my irritated areas are dramatically less visible.

In the past I’ve often just grabbed whatever acne treatment is cheapest, but working with Bioré made me realize I don’t have to compromise on ingredients to keep things within budget. Now I won’t be traveling without it!
