When I’m not sharing my travel stories and outfits here I’m an arts, entertainment, and lifestyle reporter for publications around Boston. I typically write 15-20 stories a week across all my outlets so this is just a smattering of what fills up my day-to-day. I’m thinking of making this roundup a monthly feature where I share the stories I’ve had the most fun working on lately. What do you think?
Exhale Lifestyle
This month I got to get extra nerdy by writing about Susan B. Anthony in celebration of her birthday.
I’m also sharing the stories of four amazing black women who shaped Boston’s history.
The Bay State Banner
Earlier this month I saw a PHENOMENAL one-woman production about Eartha Kitt’s life. Check out my review.
Spoilers, it’s a rave.
Boston Latin put on a production of Trey Anthony’s “Da Kink in My Hair” with a cast of all black women. I was blown away by the maturity, and woke-ness, of the students I interviewed.
BrooklineHub
I interviewed the owner of a Brookline based cheese shop and as a result I’ve been craving gouda for weeks. Turns out cheese mongering can be pretty hip.
This was actually a while back but I’m still in awe of the founder of Abilities Dance, a professional dance troupe for people with disabilities.
