I almost never wear yellow but I was instantly attracted to this dress. It reminded me of what a glamorous traveler might have worn in an old film. It would fit right in with Audrey’s wardrobe in Roman Holiday. I wore the dress on my recent trip to Venice while touring the vibrant island Burano. The color fit right in with the pastel houses lining the canals.
I paired the dress with a complimentary teal vintage trench and a sunhat. And of course my trust black flats. These are actually a cheap patent pair I picked up in case of flooding. I figured if they got destroyed it wouldn’t be as huge of a loss as my nice leather flats. Luckily we had beautiful weather the whole trip!
I often talk myself out of carrying my tripod with me while I’m abroad because it’s cumbersome and heavy to wear all day. But when I do I get shots like these which I’m really proud of. It’s worth the hassle! I won’t make the mistake of leaving it at home again.
