Southern Charm

Something about summer just makes me crave dramatic, floaty, floral dresses. I’ll throw a crinoline under pretty much anything to channel Scarlett O’Hara. This dress was the perfect way to get a little ladylike in during the summer season.

I paired the look with Scarlett approved accents, a dramatic sunhat, a practical nude heel, and an elegant gold necklace. This necklace has actually been in my regular rotation since I received it two weeks ago. It pairs just as well with a flirty dress as with a moto jacket and jeans. There’s nothing like a simple, gold necklace to cap off an outfit perfectly.  

I typically use an old-school starched crinoline under my dresses but for this longer look I found a tulle skirt worked best. Really you can make do with anything that gives the dress a little volume, I’ve often layered three normal skirts under a dress just to get the effect!
