Though I am dressing up during this pandemic in an attempt to feel normal, I have had to scale things back a little. Because most people are wearing workout clothes or straight sweatpants around, the scale for acceptable clothing has shifted. Now if I go out in so much as a simple dress I look overdressed, never mind if I wore one of my more elaborate tutus or a printed suit.
As a result, I’ve been keeping my looks pretty simple, for example this floral skirt and sweater, and jazzing them up with accessories like this statement necklace, colorful trench, and fascinator. It’s working for now but I think we all know I can’t be kept in simple clothes for long.
