LoLa 42 & The Joy of Eating Out

April 14, 2021,
by Celina[zilla_likes]

One of the biggest social losses we collectively mourned during the COVID-19 shutdowns was eating out. We had all been taking for granted that we could walk into a restaurant at any time and enjoy a wonderful meal and warm hospitality. We also learned that eating out is about so much more than just the food, it’s a social experience that feeds more than the stomach.

As things begin to open back up, I’m very excited to make restaurant visits routine again. Two weeks ago I met Vincent of Taste of Massachusetts for a catch-up meal at LoLa 42 in the Seaport. It was divine, both for the culinary mastery and the now-rare experience of a meal out in the world.

LoLa 42 is the sister restaurant of LoLa 41 on Nantucket. Fun fact, LoLa stands for Longitude and Latitude and the numbers represent the parallel each restaurant sits on. The menu at LoLa 42 is a mix of different cuisines you can find when traveling along the 42 parallel. You can find everything from a creamy, comforting mac-and-cheese to a spicy and flavorful Korean bulgogi.

Cocktails are another hallmark of LoLa 42. The spring menu features many citrus flavors and patio friendly drinks like a spritz or a margarita. A complex list of wines and beers, local and national, fills out the beverage options.

Situated on the Seaport next to the water, LoLa 42 offers a perfect spring and summer outdoor dining spot. The chef-drive cuisine, upscale atmosphere, and impeccable service promises an unforgettable restaurant exerpience.

Thank you so much, LoLa 42 for hosting us for this wonderful meal!
