Once in a while, a girl needs to be pampered. So when Pyara Spa and Salon asked me to try their new Vinylux manicure, I was ecstatic. The Vinylux treatment is the happy medium between a gel manicure and a regular manicure. It’s guaranteed to last at least a week (longer with proper care) but it can be removed with regular nail polish remover and doesn’t require the damaging buffing that gel does. The polish comes in 47 shades, I went with this gorgeous deep red that shows hints of purple in different lights.
My experience at Pyara was wonderful. The salon has two locations, Cambridge and Burlington. The Cambridge store has an immediately soothing atmosphere, with dimmed lights and a highly attentive staff. I was offered tea or water before meeting with Phuong Danh, my nail therapist. Phuong was incredibly friendly and truly a master manicurist. Her process was efficient without being rushed and the end result was impeccable.
I’ve had my manicure for about a week now and there are no signs of wear and tear. As someone who is constantly busy, it’s so nice to not have to worry about touching up my nails every night. My only critique of Pyara is that the lighting by the polish rack is a little dim. I recommend double checking the shade you choose before your manicure just to make sure it’s what you’re looking for.
I recommend the Vinylux polish to anyone who wants a long lasting manicure without the hassle and damaging effects of the gel polish. Plus, while a gel manicure clocks in at $45, a focus manicure with Pyara is only $26. The polish strengthens in the sunlight, so the longer you wear it the stronger it gets. With so many color options, what’s not to love?
I had an incredible experience with Pyara, thank you so much to the staff (especially Phuong!) who made it possible.
