Once in a while (read: weekly) I have a bad hair day. Usually it happens when I’ve watched too many episodes of Scandal and don’t have the energy to do anything about my hair. My go-to fix is a hat. You name it I’ve styled it, cloches, beanies, fedoras, berets, the whole gamut. But in the bumbling hours of pre-7am this can often lead to some interesting combinations. This outfit started out very professional with the peplum skirt and the pretty blouse. But I grabbed this pom-pom knit hat to cover up a less than satisfactory hairdo. Despite the incongruous elements I quite liked the result, it has a nice elegant-meets-casual vibe.
