While in Iceland I picked up one of their famous handmade, Icelandic wool sweaters. My friend Jess recommended I check the Salvation Army, and I found this beauty for only $40. Most new sweaters retail for $200 or more. The climatic need for warm clothing is obvious, but I also learned that sheep are abundant in the country. Lamb and wool are two of Iceland’s biggest products.
I paired the oversized sweater with my favorite leather leggings and a crimson beanie. But the real sartorial star of this outfit, and my trip, were my Steve Madden Troopa Boots from the Macy’s in Downtown Crossing. Iceland is a tumultuous landscape that requires durable, waterproof shoes with good traction. These boots can handle miles of walking and hiking, but still look chic.
The Troopa boots easily transition from the volcanic rock around Reykjavik to the city streets of Boston. I style them with dresses and skirts as well as pants and leggings.

Please note: I was provided with a complimentary pair of the Steve Madden Troopa boots, however, all opinions are my own.
