As a long-time city dweller, I don’t have a car and haven’t driven in years. But that doesn’t stop me from having adventures. I partnered with Zipcar for my road trip up to New Hampshire and I’m officially hooked on the service. Zipcar operates similarly to a car rental service, but easier. You make an account and receive a “zipcard.” Then you can reserve any vehicle near you online and all you have to do is tap your card to the reader on that car and hit the road. It’s so easy.
Zipcar’s motto is “own the trip, not the car.” They give you the freedom to explore outside the bounds of public transit, without the burden of paying for insurance and gas. Speaking of which, gas and insurance are free. This service works wonders for short getaways, but it’s also great for groceries, furniture pick ups, and day trips.
Our Honda CR-V was spotless when we picked it up. It was like driving a brand new car. It also included all the latest technology upgrades so we could play music via Bluetooth and charge our phones through easy access USB ports.
Zipcar is offering Trends and Tolstoy readers a special deal. If you sign up using this link you can get $25 in driving credit. Memberships start as low as $7 a month, and then you just pay for the hours you have the car, so it’s not a huge monetary commitment. Once you have an account you have access to cars 24/7!
Please note: this was post was sponsored by Zipcar, however, all views expressed are my honest opinion. Thank you for supporting the businesses that support Trends and Tolstoy!
