One of my many career hats is social media consulting for the Liz Roache gallery in the Boston Design Center. Once I week I go out to the center to photograph art, write copy, and check out Liz’s new work. Liz works in color theory and Bauhaus design principles. She actually studied with Ati Gropius, Walter Gropius’s daughter. (The founder of Bauhaus, for you art newbs).
I love visiting the gallery. Every time I go Liz has a new creation for me to check out. Not only is her work vibrant and thought provoking, Liz herself is endlessly energetic. Her color pieces play with mixing different tones, often colors you wouldn’t think should go together. At the heart of her work is a fascinating psychology about the way the brain perceives color and space.
I’m drawn to minimalistic interiors and Liz’s work is a dream for all-white rooms. She also works at a very accessible price point specifically to provide genuine artwork to new collectors. It’s true, you don’t have to buy “artwork” at HomeGoods to have a beautiful home!
Where do you buy your artwork?
