One Look, Three Ways

March 25, 2019,
by Celina[zilla_likes]

I teamed up with Goodwill to show how one thrifted outfit can take you through a whole day with just a few simple changes. My schedule is constantly changing but the one thing that is consistent every day is that I’m insanely busy. So I need an outfit that’s appropriate for a myriad of events.

The first look I styled for morning meetings and lunch with the girls. I always like to have my personality shine through in my clothes but I also try to keep it professional when I’m doing interviews. This blazer/tulle skirt combo accomplishes both goals. The blazer is White House Black Market and it’s almost brand new, I think maybe someone wore it once. It was $5 at Goodwill!

In the evening I can take the blazer off and boom, I have a look for a formal event. The bustier is vintage Prada, another thrifting score! I can swap the flats for heels and throw on a red lip if I really want to pull things together. I always carry a small backpack with me when I’m out and about for my camera, notebook, and whatever book I’m reading. But if you want to pack light you could stick with the flats for an even easier change.

The third look I styled for a late night flight. What happens when you have to go from gala to airport? This has actually happened to me and if you plan ahead it doesn’t have to be stressful. I kept the jacket and bustier but swapped the tulle skirt for trouser-like leggings which are always my go-to especially for international flights. Bonus hack: I sometimes wear the leggings under the tulle skirt so I don’t even have to worry about finding a bathroom to change. You just pop off the skirt and you’re ready to fly.
