My schedule isn’t as busy as it was pre-COVID but there are still days when I’m running around the city from one commitment to another. Oftentimes in order to get a workout into that schedule I need to style an outfit that can go from the gym to a meeting to a photoshoot and then to a theater show or drinks with friends. In those situations when I need sartorial agility, accessories are key.
I start with a workout base outfit. Here I stuck with all black to maximize versatility. The leggings and sneakers are standard but the flowy black tank top brings a bit of style to the look. You could just as easily pair that tank top with a pencil skirt and wear it to an office setting.
Then I added a statement coat and a belt to bring some visual interest to the look. On this particular day it was frigid and windy so I wore a hat as well. These additions take a normal workout look and upgrade it to street style. Not pictured here is my grey camera backpack that I lugged around all day. The tripod strapped to the bottom really completes the look!
