This blue jacquard dress is one of my go-to pieces. It’s so flattering and can be changed to embody almost any image. I can wear it with a leather jacket and cage heels for some edge, or pearls and a blazer for an interview.

Two Bloggers, One Blazer:                        A Collaboration with So Anthro

Blogger Collaboration, Edgy, H&M, New England, Pink Blazer, So Anthro, Sweet

From the very beginning I knew that Emily Geaman of So Anthro and I were kindred spirits. Aside from sharing a love of fashion, we also have Emerson College in common (she graduated in 2010), but most importantly we both understand the value of Nutella lattes, polka dots, and all things pink.

Emily and I had been talking about collaborating on a post for quite some time and over the summer we found that we had another thing in common, a bright pink blazer from H&M. This became the starting point of our collaboration and we decided to style the blazers separately to express our own personal tastes and then shoot them together. I adore Emily’s sweet, sassy, New England style and I love the way her outfit works with my edgier version. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit like the evil twin in the pairing!

Emily styled her blazer in a classic, preppy, and adorable ensemble with cuffed jeans, and a simple black tee. She accessorized with strappy metallic sandals, pearls, and a gorgeous Kate Spade bag. The look was totally representative of her style which is all at once girly, trendy, and pulled together.

I took the blazer down a different path, pairing it with a screen print tank, and my beloved leather pants. I accessorized with my favorite cage heels, and some spiked arm candy. I love the way Emily and I were able to take two very similar blazers and turn them into totally different looks.

As fashion bloggers we know that the details matter. Every little bit of the outfit can express your personal style from nail color to accessories.

How perfect is this girl? I love this photo, it’s so magazine ready.

Don’t try this at home. Swinging in heels is a lot more dangerous than you think!

I love the good girl/bad girl dynamic we have going on in these photos!

A big thank you to Emily Geaman for this fantastic day! I had so much fun and I’m so happy we were able to do this shoot together. Be sure to check out So Anthro for more of Emily’s style.

Arm candy, Black Peplum Skirt, Fall Fashion, H&M, Lana Del Rey, Peplum, Printed

After a short break I’m back with this sassy ensemble! Over the weekend I was home in New Hampshire and my wardrobe consisted of skinny jeans, flannel, and the occasional sweater. So coming back to the city and putting on an outfit like this was a great way to get into the week.

There’s something about the exciting print, short skirt, and peplum detailing that makes this outfit feel very young and vibrant to me. It’s put together but still has a playful, fun element to it.

Blazer, Bright Blue, H&M, oxfords, Suspender Tights, Tulle, Urban Outfitters

I wore this outfit location scouting for Atlas Magazine last week. We have some amazing shoots planned for this issue and it’s so important to find the perfect setting for each outfit. I was at it again with the schoolgirl details in this ensemble, with oxford heels, a preppy blazer, and tights with knee-sock detailing.

H&M, Patterned, Pink, Railroad Jeans, Tribal, Wedges

These fabulous wedges are the same style as the pink ones I wore in this post. They’re super comfy and easy to walk in. I’ve been wary of patterned shoes in the past because they often have a tribal vibe to them which is a super trendy style that could go out any day. These wedges have a more urban, funky vibe that I think I’ll get a lot more use out of.

Accent Pieces, H&M, Leather, Sheer, Suede Wedges

In this outfit I used two totally different materials for a base, faux-leather shorts, and a silky button down. Then I added accent pieces like the gold belt and necklace, and the rich pink wedges. The base was a great start but it was the accent pieces that really made the outfit.

Thank you to my Aunt and Uncle for these shoes! I’m so in love with them!

Something about the edgy details of this outfit, with the leather pants, cage heels, and spiky necklace, made it feel right for a night out in the city.
