I haven’t had much downtime this summer. Between weddings, work, and business travel I’ve been on the go rather than on the beach. This past weekend I spent less than 24 hours in Arlington, VT (another wedding), but I took one of those hours to relax by the pool. Our contemporary society glorifies the “hustle,” the idea of working 24/7. And while, as a freelancer, I believe in a strong work ethic, it’s important to remember to shut down once in a while.
